5 Stars Great book.
Very informative from beginner to expert. Includes recipes. Easy to read, follow, and understand. A must have book for the home brewer. Even goes in to making mead and melomel. Includes some history as well.

5 Stars Very complete
Very complete and clear. It has taken me from my first simple homebrew, to now using grains and grain extract. Highly recomended

4 Stars Perfect for a Beginner.
This is an amazing book for the beginner. I made about 3 or 4 batches that turned out okay before I read this book. Now this book hasn’t really made my beer any better yet, but as far as the understanding of the process, I feel I know everything (basics) that I need to know. On top of it all, its an easy read.

4 Stars No real problems
They said they shipped right away, and I believe them, but the book arrived on about the last possible day.

The book had a cut on the back cover (about 1.5 inches long), probably from a box cutter, but for the price I paid, I wasn’t about to complain.

I would probably buy from them again.

5 Stars EXELENT!!!!
This book is excellent , the author is very knowledgeable , I just started in this hobby and learn a lot with this book , it teaches all the process of making beer , from where the ingredients come from ,how to use them , to how to fix problems that you might encounter brewing and bottling ,the instructions some times get a little tricky , I guess that I need to get used to the terms and processes of making beer , not a big deal , I would recommend this book to any person trying to start a home brew , I love it.

A Platter of Figs and Other Recipes

Forget about getting back to the land, David Tanis just wants you to get back to the kitchen

For six months a year, David Tanis is the head chef at Chez Panisse, the Berkeley, California, restaurant where he has worked alongside Alice Waters since the 1980s in creating a revolution in sustainable American cuisine. The other six months, Tanis lives in Paris in a seventeenth-century apartment, where he hosts intimate dinners for friends and paying guests, and prepares the food in a small kitchen equipped with nothing more than an old stove, a little counter space, and a handful of wellused pots and pans.

This is the book for anyone who wants to gather and feed friends around a table and nurture their conversation. It

Jamie at Home Cook Your Way to the Good Life

Home is where the heart is . . .

This book is very close to my heart. It’s about no-nonsense, simple cooking with great flavors all year round. When I began writing it, I didn’t really know what recipes I would come up with, but something began to inspire me very quickly . . . my vegetable patch!

I came to realize last year that it’s not always about looking out at the wider world for inspiration. Being at home, feeling relaxed and open, can also offer this. I love to spend time at home in the village where I grew up, working with the boss, Mother Nature, in my garden and seeing all my beautiful veggies coming out of the ground.

Inside you’ll find over one hundred new recipes, plus some basic planting information and tips if you fancy having a go at getting your hands dirty as well!

5 Stars Excellent and very well designed book.
A great book with amazing design and photography showing all of the recipes. Recipes focus on a great philosophy: use locally grown or home-grown produce to make delicious food. Jamie Oliver brings creativity to his recipes. We’ve made several of his recipes so far and they’ve all be great. Especially the guiness and cheese pie.

5 Stars Jamie at Home -Cook your way to the good life
Having seen the TV programme I had to buy the book for the recipes.

Fantastic - such a good way of advertising a book !

2 Stars A total waste of money! Truely disappointing.
I threw it in the garbage/trash/rubbish bin, literally! This purchase was a total waste of my money. I liked Jamie’s cook show “Jamie at Home” and I have always enjoyed his hearty stews, roasts and soups. However, this book was merely a bunch of fancy paper, colorful pictures, and Jamie’s philosophy (like his philosophy on chicken eggs.) Why would I want to know how he grows veggies in England while I live in Canada? I was hoping for some REAL day to day recipes! Nope, no such luck. If you are considering to purchase this cookbook, well, consider some more.

4 Stars Simple and Delicious
I enjoyed the Jamie at Home TV show and this book did not disappoint. Lovely illustrations and great overall layout. I have found the recipes are simple, delicious and easy to follow.

LOVE the Steak, Guinness and Cheese Pie!

5 Stars If you love the show, you’ll love this book
My husband and I fell in love with Jaime Oliver while watching his show on Food TV. This book really compliments the series. It is FULL of simplistic and earthy recipes, instruction, gardening info, and great pictures.
